New Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten and Preschool Programs at McGough Nature ParkLARGO - McGough Nature Park, 11901 146th St. N., is now offering FREE Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) classes and a Jr. Explorers Preschool Program beginning Sept. 8, and continuing through June 2, 2010. At this 34-acre park, children will enjoy a balance of academic and free-choice learning themes, indoor and outdoor explorations and a wide range of creative art experiences. VPK classes begin Tuesday, Sept. 8, and will be held every Mon.-Thurs. from 12-4 p.m. Classes are state-funded, and free for children 4 years of age. The Jr. Explorers Preschool Program begins Tuesday, Sept. 8, and classes are held every Mon. -Wed. from 8:30-11:30 a.m. All children ages 3-5 are welcome. Session dates are Sept. 8-30, Oct. 5-28, Nov. 2-18 and Nov. 30-Dec. 16. Program costs start at $90 for residents and $112.50 for non-residents. Price may vary depending on session date..
