Note of Appreciation sent to Carol Stricklin, City of LargoI am pleased to express my sincere appreciation for the efforts of Cky Ready last week. Cky Ready, after rejecting my request for a dock permit, offered to speak to the City Engineer on his recommended change to the permit application if it can be shown as "no adverse affect." Cky took the initiative and met with the City Engineer who agreed with Cky's suggestion if I made changes to the permit and if my neighbor submitted a letter of "no objection." What impressed me is that Cky Ready could have rejected my permit and ended the call but instead he explained the reason for the rejection even as I tried very hard to get Cky to change his decision. However, as we talked Cky came up with a possible change that would be environmentally suitable. He suggested the change and offered to see if it could be worked out which it was. I have lived on Largo for 25 years and it is because of conscientious city employees like Cky that I can say Largo is a great city to live in. I am proud of Largo and our city employees. Please extend by appreciation to Cky Ready and the City Engineer. - Richard Elmhurst
