For Girls Only Campers Learn to Design Jewelry
Monique Mantilla of Bella Designs in Clearwater, made a guest appearance at the For Girls Only Camp recently, teaching the girls cool bead techniques and helping them each design their own piece of funky jewelry! She will be teaching a jewelry art class at the Belleair Rec Department this fall, starting on September 9th. One of the things they'll be making in this class is a charm bracelet; including making their own swirl metal clay beads. They will fire the beads in a kiln and have them ready for the next week. The plan is to make a addition to the bracelet each week, ending with several charms which will dangle from the link chain bracelet.
