Historical Society's County Market in the Park Calls for VendorsPlans are ramping up for November's opening of Pinellas County Market in the Park in Heritage Village, and vendors are welcome to get in on the action now. Farm-fresh produce, natural products and gardening items are the mainstay of the market, and organizers are looking for more vendors. Specialties of particular interest are plants, herbs, jams, jellies, ethnic food, organic products, pasta, citrus, seafood, candy, nuts, spices and pastries. Specialty craft vendors are encouraged to apply, especially those offering horticultural-friendly products. For more information or to obtain a vendor application, please call Market Manager Richard Kendler at (727) 733-4215 or email greenmarketmanager@verizon.net. This will be the market's third year. New this year, the market will be at Heritage Village, which is located off 125th Street between Walsingham and Ulmerton Roads. It will be open every Saturday starting Nov. 7, through April 17, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vendors will enjoy the central, mid-county location and an easy-to-access place to sell their products. Free admission, on-site restrooms and plenty of room to roam make this Market attractive to customers. Food and beverages will be sold for shoppers and vendors. Other plans are in the works for special events and promotions. The Pinellas County Historical Society proudly sponsors the Market in the Park. Heritage Village brings more than 150 years of rich and colorful local history to life in a cool and picturesque landscape of palmettos and pine trees. Families will enjoy a new EnterAction adventure, with historic structures revealing secrets of the past. The gift shop offers unique treasures to remember the visit. Operated by Pinellas County government, the Village is a 21-acre living history museum located at 11909 125th St. N. in Largo. Parking for the market is available at Pinellas County Extension, at Ulmerton and Walsingham Roads.
