Public Invited to Beach Art Center Fall Exhibition Reception

The Beach Art Center in Indian Rocks Beach invites the public to their first Artists' Exhibition and Reception of the year on Friday, October 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. The free event celebrates the works of seven area artists: Hiroko Borish, Sumi-e Brush Painting; Michael Hurtack, oil and enamel on canvas; Barbara Keast, watercolor and acrylic collage; Ralph E. Montgomery, watercolor, acrylic and pencil; Kathryne Stimson, oil on canvas; Janet Ward, watercolor; and Rick Whalen, watercolor.

The October 2nd event also offers the opportunity to meet the Beach Art Center's new Executive Director, David Shankweiler. Shankweiler spent nineteen years in a variety of capacities with the Dunedin Fine Art Center and has been the Director of two other museums since. He has been hired to bring new educational, marketing and fundraising strategies to the Art Center to cope with the changing economy.

The Beach Art Center is a non-profit art organization offering studio art classes and exhibitions for the public.
