Pinellas Sheriff's Advisory Board Hosts Fundraiser for Youth Programs With a Wild Game Dinner and Turkey Shoot

The Pinellas Sheriff's Advisory Board, in conjunction with the Wyoming Antelope Club, is hosting a "Wild Game Dinner and Turkey Shoot" as a fundraiser to support the Sheriff's youth programs like the Explorers, the Sheriff's Police Athletic League (PAL) and others. The Pinellas County Sheriff's Advisory Board is a volunteer membership group dedicated to providing financial support to the Pinellas County Sheriff's youth programs and other Pinellas area youth programs.

The event will take place at the Wyoming Antelope Club, located at 3700 126th Avenue, Clearwater. The Wild Game Dinner and Turkey Shoot is scheduled for Saturday, October 3. Tickets are $15 per adult, and $5 for children age 10 and under. Please make checks payable to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

Participants will enjoy a wild game dinner - or chicken for the "less adventurous" - and a chance to test their marksmanship skills in a "Turkey Shoot" target competition. Participants may use the firearm of their choice when shooting at the paper competition target sheets. All activities will be managed by NRA certified firearms instructors.

In addition to sampling a variety of specially prepared wild game, participants will also be able to test their marksmanship skills under the careful eyes of NRA certified firearms instructors.

The times are as follows:

  • Turkey Shoot: 3 to 5 p.m. - One shot is $5 - Award to Best Shot. Pistols are 5 shots for $5; use the caliber of your choice.
  • Wild Game Dinner: 5 to 7 p.m. - (Chicken for the "less adventurous")
