Clearwater Horseshoe Tournament NewsEleven-year-old Megan Polski, the youngest Junior pitcher in Florida, entered her first Horseshoe Tournament Saturday, October 3rd. Megan is a member of the Clearwater Horseshoe Club. As it turned out, the Tournament Also had its most Senior, Florida Women pitcher from Beverly Hills Florida, Mable Adcox. Mable is well known throughout Florida and pitched in 23 Tournaments last year. Megan pitched 5 games against other players which included Mable, and her dad (Lee). Each game consisted of 50 shoes. For the first time in competition, and against other seasoned players she did exceptionally well. Out of the 5 games, she lost to Mable by 1 point, and to another player by the same margin. The highlight of the day was she tied her dad. Even though she was 0-5 it shows she has great potential. After Megan enters a few more tournaments she will be eligible to pitch in the Florida Only, State Tournament in April of 2010. By competing in the Junior Class competition she will be eligible for a drawing in the $1,000.00 Scholarship Fund. Megan is also pitching in the Wednesday night league against some of the top men pitchers and Champions in Florida. Being a handicap league she has the opportunity to win against the best.
