Snakes and More Headed to Downtown San Antonio

Slither on over to San Antonio this weekend for the 43rd Annual Rattlesnake Festival. Visitors will see trained snake and reptile handlers demonstrate their talent, along with gopher turtles racing to the finish line. Two unique contests are on the program this year - a corn toss tournament and western wear contest. The event is free and also includes arts and crafts, inflatables and games for the kids, live musical entertainment, petting farm, custom car show and a 5-mile and 1-mile fun run. For foodies, there will be a chili cook-off and pancake breakfast. Saturday, Oct. 17, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 18 from 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. San Antonio is located 30 minutes north of Tampa off I-75 in Pasco County.
