American Association of University Women to Host Dinner MeetingLARGO - Mid-Pinellas AAUW is pleased to announce a special dinner meeting featuring guest speaker, local author and original "Gerber Baby" Ann Turner Cook. The meeting will take place at the Holiday Inn Clearwater, 2535 Ulmerton Road, Monday, November 2nd at 5:30 p.m., and feature a classic Italian Buffet. Cost for the buffet is $20 total, including ice tea or coffee, assortment of desserts, tax and tip. Reservations may be made by check payable to Mid-Pinellas AAUW and mailed to Ruth Hardick, 55 Rogers St., Apt. 201, Clearwater, FL 33756. Mrs. Cook is a retired English teacher and department head at Hillsborough High School in Tampa; she was also president of Hillsborough County Teachers of English in 1987. To date she has published four favorably reviewed mystery novels set in small historic towns of Central Florida. She will speak on achieving her dream of becoming a writer after retiring from teaching and will be happy to sign books for people interested in purchasing.
