Register for Southwest's Youth Winter Basketball LeagueLARGO - Registration begins Sunday, November 1, for Southwest's Youth Winter Basketball League. Boys and girls, ages 5-17 will learn fundamental basketball skills, strategy and teamwork to better their game. Younger age groups will focus on player development, while more experienced players will participate in play-offs and an end of the season all-star game. Games are played on Saturdays beginning January 30, through the end of March. League cost is $45 for residents and $56.25 for non-residents, and all participants will receive a league jersey. Mandatory evaluations are scheduled for Friday, January 15. Practices and games are held at the Southwest Recreation Complex, located at 13120 Vonn Rd, Largo.
