City of Clearwater Employees Help Feed the Community

The City of Clearwater's Annual Holiday Food Basket Drive is under way. Above, Laura Burgess, recreation leader at the Long Center, decorates a box which will be used to collect donations of nonperishable food items from fellow employees for the Religious Community Services Food Bank. Each department selects a volunteer coordinator to decorate and place boxes in their area. Burgess said she has taken on that duty each year for the past 20 years. Chuck Warrington, head of Clearwater Gas System, is coordinator of the city-wide effort.
