Unsuccessful outcome at UN climate talks. Who is really to blame?A lot of news coverage of the UN climate talks in Copenhagen is placing the blame for an unsuccessful summit at the feet of China. While some of the criticism makes sense, it misses the bigger point. The US-by far the biggest per-capita emitter of global warming pollution -- has said we're only willing to cut emissions by 4%. Scientists say we'd need to multiply that number by ten to stop climate change. If we're looking for someone to blame for Copenhagen's failure, we should start by looking in the mirror. - Kate Melges, Island Estates
