Making A Joyful Noise
Children from the audience join the Lindblom Family in one more rendition of Rudolph The Rednosed Reindeer at the annual Christmas Caroling in the park, sponsored by the Clearwater Beach Association, the Tuesday before Christmas. For the fifth year, Clearwater Beach resident Tim Lindblom, and his daughters, Kaitlin, Jordan, Kelsey and Morgan, led the community Christmas caroling at Mandalay Park. Dressed warmly because of the cold night and wearing their traditional Santa hats, the girls made a charming picture as their young, clear voices led the singing, backed up by their father's deep tones. They delighted the audience with a Florida Christmas song about a Greennosed Dolphin, called upon by Santa to lead his -- well, his submarine. What else would rhyme with green? It was sung, of course, to the tune of Rudolph The Rednosed Reindeer. The audience joined in all the old familiar carols and the caroling closed with Tim's Lindblom's rich baritone solo of Oh Holy Night and the traditional last carol, Silent Night, Holy Night. After the caroling, the guests enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies as they greeted neighbors and friends with Christmas wishes. The Clearwater Beach Association Christmas caroling tradition is more than twenty years old.
