Become Largo's #1 Recreating FamilyLargo, FL - In celebration of the Recreation, Parks, and Arts Department's 50th Anniversary, the City of Largo is encouraging all families to participate in the 2010 Family Scavenger Hunt for a chance to become Largo's #1 Recreating Family. Visit and take photos of you and your family (pets too!) participating in each of the seven categories, including: Explore Nature, Celebrate the Arts, Splash in the Water, and more! The winning family will be recognized at the Largo Commission Meeting, have their photo included in the Play Magazine and on PlayLargo.com, and receive a $50 credit to be used at any Largo Recreation Facility. "We hope every family in Largo will help us celebrate our 50th birthday by participating in this contest", commented Joan Byrne, Largo Recreation, Parks, and Arts Director. "It's a great opportunity to visit new places or re-visit favorites-all within minutes of home. The Largo Recreation, Parks, and Arts Department is working so you can play-so take advantage of all the clean, green, and fun opportunities provided and help us kick off the next 50 years". All photo CDs and entry forms must be submitted by April 15, 2010. Submissions can be delivered to the following locations: Highland Recreation Complex (400 Highland Ave), Southwest Recreation Complex (13120 Vonn Rd), or the Largo Community Center (65 Fourth St. NW).
