
Pinellas County Sheriff's Office's Teen Driver ChallengeThe Sheriff's Office is pleased to offer a new safety program for teen drivers. The Teen Driver Challenge, which is supported by the Florida Sheriff's Association, is part classroom and part driving experience. The two-day course emphasizes safety on the road and is one way teens can build the foundation for years of safe driving. Student drivers are invited to sign up for the upcoming classes scheduled for February 26th and 27th; April 16th and 17th; and June 18th and 19th. Each class is limited to 12 participants. A valid learner or operator license and a vehicle are required to complete the course. The classroom portion is held at the ASB located at 14500 49th Street North, Clearwater, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on the first day of the course. The driving portion is held at St. Pete-Clearwater Airport overflow parking lot located at the northeast corner of 145th Avenue North and 46th Street North, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the second day of the course.
