
SPCA Tampa Bay Hosts 2010 Dog GamesIn celebration of the Winter Olympics, the SPCA Tampa Bay will host a one-day series of canine presentations and competitions to promote obedience and healthy activities for both pet owner and canine. The first Tampa Bay 2010 Dog Games will be held on Saturday, February 20th, at the SPCA Tampa Bay, 9099 130th Ave N, Largo, 33773, from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Presentations for each activity will be made during the day by experienced handlers and dogs. Agility and Flyball are two events that will be managed by The Dog Training Club of St. Petersburg. Interested pet owners and their canines are encouraged to participate in event competitions to take home the Gold, Silver or Bronze medals. Events include:
Dogs must be current on their rabies vaccinations to participate. All dogs coming to the event must be on a leash. The shelter is located at 9099 130th Avenue North, Largo, or call (727) 586-3591. Adoption hours are Tuesday - Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Friday 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Sunday 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; closed Monday.
