Photos/text by SANDI FAHY

All those attending agreed this year's Winterfest on the Rocks in Indian Rocks Beach was the first time in the history of the event it actually felt like winter. Above, kneeling, Angie Ford tags basset hound Lola for the patriotic pet parade on February 13 as Lola's owner, Missy Kelley, looks on at right. Pet owners were invited to dress up their pets in patriotic attire for the event. At back, seated (l-r) are parade judges David Powers and Brooke Certa. Standing (l-r) are registrars Anne Carter and Polly Leibe. Ford was coordinator of the pet parade. Winterfest, which took place on the grounds of Calvary Episcopal Church, also featured a children's parade, arts and crafts vendors, food booths and live entertainment.

Members of Pinellas Suncoast Fire & Rescue took part in Winterfest on the Rocks in Indian Rocks Beach on February 13. Above, (l-r) firefighter/EMTs Ryan London, Jason Lewis and Tyler Kaley are ready to answer questions about the 1947 Chevrolet Roadmaster fire truck on display at the event.
