(from left) Bob and Pat Fernandez, managers of the Downtown Clearwater Farmer's Market, are pictured with Mark Stevens of JC's Daily Bread at last week's market. Stevens' son, Jean-Claude, a Port St. Lucie chef, bakes all the gourmet breads and breakfast pastries sold at the market. They include butterscotch, raisin and cinnamon, walnut and blue cheese, cheddar cheese, Italian medley and raspberry/white chocolate breads as well as Belgian chocolate and almond butter croissants. Gourmet cookies, turnovers, blueberry muffins and cinnamon walnut raisin rolls are among JC's other offerings. Farm fresh produce, gourmet cheeses, fresh seafood, plants and herbs, organic products, jewelry and crafts can also be found at the Clearwater Farmer's Market, which is open on Wednesdays (through April) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the 500 block of Cleveland Street (between Garden and N. Fort Harrison). Questions? Call 461-7674.
