Volunteers Needed to Help at Senior Dining Sites in Clearwater

Volunteers are needed to assist with evening and weekend meals at two of the Neighborly Care Network's newest Senior Dining sites. Due to the government stimulus money, Neighborly has expanded meal service at Barbee Towers and Ralph Richards Tower for the following times:

  • Barbee Towers (1100 Druid Rd. E, Clearwater): Evenings - 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Weekends - 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Ralph Richard Tower (211 S. Prospect Ave., Clearwater): Evenings - 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Weekends 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Duties include serving prepared meals, sanitizing/clean-up of area, as well as socializing with participants. Two and four hour shifts are available. So many seniors live alone and hate the idea of cooking only for themselves. Neighborly's Senior Dining offers seniors hot, nutritious meals, as well as a place to socialize and make friends.

Neighborly needs compassionate, caring volunteers to share their time with these often lonely, isolated seniors. Please call Pat Hazell at (727) 573-9444, ext. 291, to start helping your community today.
