Clearwater Audubon Society Schedules Bird Watching WalkThe Clearwater Audubon Society invites you to join the Morris Bridge and Lettuce Lake Bird Watching Walk. This event will be held on Saturday, March 20th, at 7:30 a.m. Please meet at Tri-City Mall (East Bay at ALT U.S. 19), in front of Party City. This is a wonderfully unique walk through two Hillsborough parks. Morris Bridge is situated along the Hillsborough River and has a boardwalk through a magical forest with many varieties of woodpeckers and warblers, and if you are lucky you may even see a Swallow-tailed Kite as it arrives from its migration from South America. Lettuce Lake also has a scenic boardwalk as well as a three-story observation tower where you can see passing Ospreys and Roseate Spoonbills at eye-level. Sometimes you can see Wild Turkeys roaming the edge of the lake. You never know what surprises these parks have waiting for you. Bring your binoculars and field guides if you have them!
