Recs and ReadsBy Anne McKay GarrisMark your calendars for March 27th, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The people of the Clearwater Beach community have been digging up, or should we say "out", their no longer used treasures for weeks, and on Saturday morning they will be there for you to browse and buy to your hearts content. The location of the "Buried Treasures Sale" will be at Triangle Park, at the intersection of Bay Esplanade and Narcissus Street. All proceeds from the sale will benefit the Friends of the Clearwater Beach Library and Recreation Center, and the Clearwater Beach Association. The Buried Treasures Crew is already preparing and pricing such delightful finds as boat sculptures by Demott, several handsome mirrors, collectibles, a large selection of good books, and lots of costume jewelry, just to name a few. Don't miss the sale on Saturday. It's a fun way to visit with neighbors, find some treasures and help support the two community organizations. Plenty of parking! Remember, our pool is now open and ready for you to come and get that best of all kind of exercise. The two All About Shells sessions at the Rec Center were well attended and everyone was able to make their own souvenir to take home with them. See you at the Treasure Sale! I'm even bringing some of my books to autograph for you. A great gift for parents!
