
Pinellas County Historical Society Hosts Magnolia Blossom LuncheonThe Pinellas County Historical Society presents the 2010 Magnolia Blossom luncheon, Monday, April 12, at Bon Appetit restaurant, 150 Marina Drive, Dunedin. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. A fashion show by G.J. Banks and Christopher Banks will be followed by the luncheon. Jack E. Davis, Associate Professor of History at the University of Florida, is the featured speaker. His topic is Marjory Stoneman Douglas and her efforts to transform the Everglades. Tickets are $35.00 with a luncheon choice from three entrees. Please call (727) 582-2233 to make your reservation. Professor Davis holds the title of 2009-2010 Weldo W. Neikirk Term Professor. His book, An Everglades Providence: Marjory Stoneman Douglas and the American Environmental Century, was published last year.
