
Dunedin Celebrates Arbor DayOn Saturday, April 17, the City of Dunedin and the Bay Bouquet Garden Club will hold the annual Tree Give-A-Way and Arbor Day Celebration at Weaver Park, located at 1249 Bayshore Boulevard (one-half mile north of Main Street) in Dunedin. The Tree Give-A-Way will start at 8:30 a.m. and end at 12:00 p.m. Trees will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis to Dunedin residents who provide proof of residency in the form of a Dunedin utility bill or Florida driver's license. Each addressed property is eligible for two free, 3-gallon trees. Trees to be given away include: Crape Myrtle (red, pink, white or lavender), Live Oak, Red Maple, Southern Magnolia, Bald Cypress, Slash Pine, Chickasaw Plum, and Yaupon Holly. The Arbor Day Ceremony begins at 10:00 a.m. and will include the presentation of the Tree City USA flag and a ceremonial tree planting.
