Marine Honor Guard and Rifle Team to Kick off SpringfestA U.S. Marine guard and rifle team will kick off the Springfest Block Party at the Shoppes on Sand Key at 12:00 p.m. on April 17th. They will be followed by the Knights of Columbus, music by Al "Coffee" McDaniels, and more music from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. by the group Too Close. Twenty local artists will be displaying their work, as well as a sketch artist, a Chinese calligrapher, a balloon man, and Capt. Jack Sparrow, in full pirate regalia. There will also be raffles for money and prizes every hour. Clearwater Mayor Hibbard and members of the City Council will also be attending at various times during the day.
