
Sons of the American Revolution Award Flag Certificate
At the ceremony were Bob Skidmore, President of Good Neighbors; Nancy Davis, Activities Director for OTOW; Dan Hooper, Vice President, Clearwater Chapter SAR; and many members of the Good Neighbors. The Clearwater Chapter SAR recognized the Good Neighbors Association at On Top of the World on April 8th for consistently flying the American Flag in a patriotic and exemplary manner. The Sons of the American Revolution has a program to locate and identify, and then present Flag Certificates to schools, organizations, and businesses that display the American flag properly. The certificate contains a Betsy Ross flag that became the standard during the American Revolution and the current 50 state Stars and Stripes flag. It will be displayed proudly in the Good Neighbors Store. The Clearwater Chapter, Florida Society Sons of the American Revolution, meets at the Dunedin Country Club (1050 Palm Blvd, Dunedin) on the third Wednesday of the month. Meetings start at 11:30 a.m. with a social period, a luncheon at noon, followed by a guest speaker. Cost is $18 per person paid in advance, and $20 at the door. Suggested attire is sport coat and tie. Wives and guests are encouraged to attend. For more information, call (727) 535-1833. The Clearwater Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution, serves the communities of Pinellas and Pasco Counties. Activities include a variety of programs to promote the patriotic, educational, and historical interests resulting from the American Revolution.
