Mary and CMA Sea Turtle Nesting Manager, Mike Anderson (left), with CMA Sea Turtle Program Manager, Danielle O'Neil. CLEARWATER - CMA staff are caring for a critical adult female Loggerhead sea turtle that was found on the east coast of Florida on Vanderbilt Beach in Naples. She was found around 7:00 a.m. by people raking the beach, and was transported by the Collier County Parks and Recreation Department to CMA for care. Measuring almost four-and-a-half feet in length, and weighing about 185 pounds, the Loggerhead is receiving fluids, as she is severely dehydrated and anemic. She has been named Mary, after one of the two environmental specialists who transported her to CMA.
