Safety Harbor Public Library Schedules Program

Safety Harbor Public Library presents The History of the Panama Canal on Thursday, May 13, at 6:30 p.m. Learn the history of the Panama Canal, presented by Gerarde De Tore, trustee of The Panama Canal Museum and former resident of the Panama Canal Zone.

The Panama Canal Museum in Seminole, preserves the history of the American Era of the Panama Canal and recognizes the contributions the construction of this 20th century engineering marvel. Focusing on the construction, operation, maintenance, and defense of the canal during its formative years, this program will show how these efforts helped make Panama's unique geography and location truly a crossroads of the world.
