Email to the Largo Mayor and CommissionersTo Mayor Patricia Gerard and Commissioners, I was sad to recently receive word that you are considering closing the McGough Nature Center. This is such a wonderful facility for young children and there is nothing like it in our area. A drive to Weedon Island when you have toddlers is quite a trip. I have been to a Wild Birthday party and my son has requested to have his 5th birthday party there this summer. I urge you to keep this facility open and keep our children in touch with the natural Florida habitat.
