Become an Advocate for Abused ChildrenYou can be the voice for an abused or neglected child! A Guardian ad Litem works with a professional staff and an attorney to ensure that a child has a safe, caring, and stable environment. A child with a Guardian ad Litem will go to fewer foster homes, get more services, and is more likely to do better in school. The next training will be June 8th to July 8th at the Pinellas Criminal Justice Center (14250 49th St. N, Clearwater.) Hundreds more volunteer Guardians ad Litem are urgently needed to be a child's voice in court and the child welfare system. The average time needed is six to ten hours a month. Please call (727) 464-6528 to arrange to attend a 30-minute orientation For more information, and an application, go to www.guardianadlitem6.org.
