AHEPA Family of Clearwater Holds Scholarship Awards Ceremony
The Order of AHEPA (American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association) Pinellas Chapter #356 and the Daughters of Penelope Pelias Chapter #186 hosted their annual AHEPA Family Scholarship Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, June 8, at the Greektown Grille in Clearwater. Each of the 5 recipients are outstanding students at the high school or college level and received $1000 scholarships to further their education. Since its inception, The AHEPA Family of Clearwater has awarded $97,500 in scholarships to students whose parents are members of AHEPA, the Daughters of Penelope or the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church Community. The Order of AHEPA, and its over 400 chapters nationally, awards approximately $500,000 in scholarships annually to high school and college students. During the year, AHEPA conducts various functions to raise money for our scholarship fund.
