Homer and Eileen Pamela Schildberg Celebrate 64th Anniversary
Times were hard, WWII was raging, but love still finds a way. Homer was in the US Army and was stationed for a short time in England, and Pam was in the English Army. They met, and from there fate took over. Homer and Pam had three dates before he was shipped to Italy, North Africa, and other countries. For five years they sent letters back and forth. In one of the letters Homer proposed to Pam. The war finally ended and Homer was sent directly back to the United States. Red tape and paperwork then followed, and one day Pam came home from work and was told she needed to pack, she was going to America. Pam and Homer were married less than a week later. Now, 64 years later, they are still in love. Pam is now 90 and Homer 96.
