Save Clearwater Beach Library and PoolI watched the recent Clearwater council meeting on computer before I had to leave for an airport pick-up. Everyone did a wonderful job, each sharing a special value they held for the Recreation Center Library/Pool, and I'm confident it sent a message that cannot/will not be ignored. Today's article in the St. Pete Times is just frosting on the cake. I feel asking to keep the pool open is just begging for crumbs. We have personally had out-of-town guests bypass the "free" pool at our condo, and pay to go the community pool because it was so nice. Progressive thinkers at City Hill need to take a little of the (one-time use) Reserve Funds and heat the pool, so that it might be open throughout the year. Day/week passes could be pitched to the rest of the mom-and-pops they didn't already drive out, and promoted through the Beach Chamber. Who might be in charge of that? Vicki Jackson
