Join Clearwater to Celebrate America with Patriotic Music and Fireworks

CLEARWATER - Clearwater Celebrates America, the city's annual Independence Day celebration, will take place Sunday, July 4, in Coachman Park (301 Drew St.) The festival is free, and will feature the Mostly Pops Orchestra with John, Mary K. and Paul Wilson, fireworks, children's activities, a craft show, food and drink concessions. Gates will open at 4:00 p.m. The Mostly Pops Orchestra begins at 7:30 p.m., followed by fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

The Memorial Causeway Bridge will be closed from approximately 9:15 to 10:15 p.m. for the fireworks. Expect traffic delays as a result of the bridge closure and downtown traffic congestion. Traffic that would normally use Fort Harrison Avenue and Myrtle Avenue during this time period is encouraged to consider alternative routes, such as Missouri Avenue, Highland Avenue, and Keene Road. Belleair Causeway can also be used to travel to and from the beach.

No alcoholic beverages, glass containers or bottles, umbrellas, canopies, throwing objects, pets or personal fireworks allowed. For more information, call (727) 562-4700.
