Email to the Largo Mayor and CommissionersTo the Mayor and the Commission. A couple of years ago, I noticed this freshly yellow painted older home on 5th St. N. in Largo. Shortly thereafter fire trucks were surrounding the building and I thought they had a fire but found out the Fire Dept. was training in the house. Next the house was jacked up and moved 2 lots over to 161 5th St. N. For months service trucks were parked in front. After sitting empty for over a year, I understand it just sold. Here are my questions: How much did the house cost? How much to paint it? How much to move it? How much to rehabilitate it? How much for all extras? How much to re-paint it white? What concessions were given to the buyer? Add to that the cost of: Putting grass on the former lot (where it was moved from.) Planting a dozen palms and crepe myrtle. Installing a split-rail fence. Then converting half of it to a community garden. Why is Largo in the real-estate business? Did anyone think this thru before starting? Is this another one of Largo's boondoggles? Sincerely, Christel Hunsicker
