North Pinellas Fire Training Group Hosts Water Rescue Training Exercise
The North County Fire Departments, along with the Honeymoon Island State Park Lifeguards, will be participating in multi-agency water rescue training. The training will commence at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. each day on July 19th, 20th, and 21st, and will consist of hands-on water rescue training utilizing fire rescue personnel, water craft performing simulated water rescues of live victims in the water and also inside a vehicle simulator, which will be submerged in the gulf waters. The training will be conducted in the Gulf waters off of the beach area of Honeymoon Island State Park (1 Causeway Blvd., Dunedin.) All North County Fire Rescue Departments will be participating, including: Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Tarpon Springs, East Lake, Safety Harbor, and Oldsmar Fire Departments.
