SPCA Tampa Bay Celebrates Cow Appreciation Day

Permanent SPCA Tampa Bay resident Angie the Cow says, "Get a Moooove on It," and stop by the Largo Shelter on Saturday, July 24, in recognition of Cow Appreciation Day.

Guests and the media are invited to attend this one-day event in honor of Angie the Cow and her barnyard friends for what they give to humans. A Shelter and Barnyard Tour will beheld at 1:00 p.m. for those interested in learning more about the SPCA Tampa Bay's 10-acre sanctuary.

Volunteers will also be on hand from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. so that guests can meet, greet, and feed the barnyard animals, which include:

Angie's best friends: Mo' the Donkey, Tabitha the Horse, and New Friends: Leon and Wade, the horses, and the Goats: Goaticus, Brian D. Goat and 12 other permanent resident goat pals will be waiting at the fence to be fed snacks!

Chick Fil-A will also be present to hand out coupons for human snacks for those who visit the Shelter that day.

SPCA Tampa Bay is located at 9099 130th Ave. N., Largo. Shelter hours are: Tuesday - Thursday, 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.; Friday, 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; Saturday, 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Sunday, 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.; and closed Monday.
