Recs and ReadsBy Anne McKay GarrisDrums, magic, food, and pool games are on the menu for this Friday night at summer's last Frog Friday at our Clearwater Beach Pool on Mandalay Avenue. Everyone is welcome and people of all ages will enjoy the fun, especially if you are a grandparent whose grandkids aren't handy to be observed with the kind of enjoyment only grandparents seem to feel. The cost is minimal, so bring a friend. Last Friday night the movie by the pool had it all-floating weightlessly in soothing water, watching the surfers in the surfing movie surf, enjoying good company. This first adventure into the Clearwater Beach Pool's Dive In movies was enjoyed by a good-sized group of people, mostly families. Meantime, over at the library, you will find a computer to use, movie videos to take home, books to enjoy, and tapes to check out. The library is open afternoons, Monday through Friday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. It's a great "get-away" place where you can relax in one of their big armchairs, away from the phone, the dirty dishes, the overgrown lawn and other things we would never admit to wanting to be away from.
