Otis Wayne Henderson
The past President of Island Estates Civic Association, Otis Wayne Henderson, passed away August 25, 2010. He was a retired Lt. Col. in the US Army Corp of Engineers with service in WWII and Korea, and earned two Bronze Stars. He was the past President of Sertoma Club, Military Officers of World Wars, and a member of Military Officers Association of America, American Legion, and Elks club. He is survived by his wife, Irene; a son, a daughter, and 3 grandchildren. Graveside service with military honors will be Tuesday, September 21, 2010, 10:00 a.m., at Arlington National Cemetery.
