Recs and Reads

By Anne McKay Garris

Don't look now, girls, but Richard Gere is going to be at the Clearwater Beach Library on Tuesday September 7, well, not in person, but starring in the movie, "Hachi: A Dog's Tale," about a Japanese dog who goes looking for it's master at the train station. Movie time is at 2:00 p.m. Put it on your calendar. In my opinion, Richard Gere is not to be missed, in any form. And admission is free.

Also, on the 7th, Zumba starts again for the season. Zumba begins at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesdays, giving you time to work up a good appetite for lunch at one of our excellent Clearwater Beach eateries.

The pool is still open on Saturdays and Sundays, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., because the weather man doesn't realize school is back in session and the temperature is staying up there for a while longer.

There are so many ways to use and enjoy our recreation complex and library. Even our weight room is light and airy, with a beautiful view to enjoy while you exercise.
