
Advocates Needed for Abused ChildrenVolunteer Guardians ad Litem are urgently needed to be a child's voice in court and the child welfare system. The average time needed is six to ten hours a month. The next training will meet five Saturdays, October 9 to November 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Pasadena Community Church (227 70th Street South, St Petersburg.) There will be a special 30-minute orientation on Tuesday, September 21, at 7:00 p.m. in room 3A at the Church's Life Enrichment Center. No experience is required. A Guardian ad Litem works with a professional staff and an attorney to ensure that a child has a safe, caring, and stable environment.
