City of Dunedin Seeking Talent for Senior Talent Show

DUNEDIN - Grab your guitar, dust off that old saxophone, start warming up your vocals and tapping your feet - it's time for the annual Senior Talent Show in Dunedin! Each year, the City of Dunedin Parks & Recreation Department hosts the "Senior Talent Show," an eclectic combination of talent over the age of fifty. In the past, acts have included spoon players, banjo players, ballroom dancers, comedians, vocalists, and more. If you have a talent that can amaze an audience and earn you the crown, check out the open auditions for the show on Wednesday, October 20, from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Dunedin Community Center (1920 Pinehurst Road.)

All types of talent are welcome - auditions are first-come, first-served, and no appointments are necessary. The top twelve acts will go on to perform in front of a live audience of over 600 on Friday, November 12, and will be judged "American Idol" style, complete with local "celebrity" judges.

This year's show is being sponsored by The Senior Connection and Ruth Eckerd Hall. Tickets for the show will go on sale October 4th at the Dunedin Community Center and the Hale Senior Activity Center (330 Douglas Avenue.)
