Local artist and amateur poet Lamaude Miller, creator of the design used on a T-shirt sold by the Clearwater Friends of the Library Book and Gift Store, and his niece Jyla Taylor, 8, display several of Miller's latest T-shirt designs. Jyla is wearing a shirt which features the design he produced especially for the library. One of his featured works is a salute to marine life. Miller's most recent designs are patriotic and were created to honor our armed forces and firefighters. One shows a heart surrounding an American flag featuring the seals of each of our armed forces. Another pictures firefighters with the words "I love U.S. Firefighters". Miller has also written the lyrics for The National Anthem Remix, a recording produced by Steven Bell and sung by Roxy Kerr. The lyrics were based on a poem Miller had written to honor fallen American soldiers, firefighters and police officers. The song, which honors those who lost their lives during 9-11, Hurricane Katrina, the war on terror and other disasters, was first played at the Armed Forces Military Museum in Largo on Memorial Day. Miller is currently seeking a group to sponsor his endeavors.
