Beach Walk comes to life in chalk artistry

CLEARWATER BEACH – Twenty-six artists transformed the Beach Walk into masterpieces of blossoms, bonfires and bronzing beach babes during the second annual Chalk Art Festival last weekend.

Chalk artist Jennifer Chapparo, an internationally acclaimed street painter who won “Best in Show” last year, was commissioned by the Sandpearl Resort to create this custom 3D, interactive piece.

The drawing is a depiction of the resort's outdoor beachside area where Adirondack chairs surround a fire pit that is lit most every night.

The artwork created a photo-opportunity for the Jackson siblings, 3-year-old Riley and 4-year-old Chase, daughter and son of Brett and Anne Jackson of Island Estates, posed in the artwork on Sunday.

The Clearwater Beach Chamber of Commerce teamed up with the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa to produce the free event.
