Businesses target veterans and civilians at job fairs

CLEARWATER — Two job fairs planned for next week target veterans and the general public.
Career fair targeted for veterans set for Tuesday
Sixteen local employers will be available for the 2nd Annual Veterans’ Job and Resources Fair, sponsored by the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 11. The job fair will be held from 10 a.m. -2 p.m. Tuesday at the Long Center, 1501 N. Belcher Rd.
Some of the area’s top employers will be seeking to fill open positions. Job coaches will also be available to review resumes or assist veterans who need help creating a resume, cover letter, or completing a job application. The event is free for job seekers.
The veteran’s Mobile Service Office will also be on site to provide assistance to disabled veterans and their families on veterans' benefits or filing claims.

CareerSource Pinellas to Host Career Fair on Wednesday
Fifteen local employers will be available at The CareerSource Pinellas job fair from 12 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at Bright House Networks Field, 601 N. Old Coachman Rd.
The career fair is open to the general public. A CareerSource Pinellas recruiter will be available offering resume assistance and job search techniques.
To avoid long registration lines on the day of the fair, job seekers are urged to pre-register online at www.careersourcepinellas.com. The website also lists the participating employers and offers a list of helpful hints to get the most out of their experience during a job fair.
