Clearwater municipal electoral forum set for Wednesday

Candidates competing for two Clearwater City Council seats will have an opportunity to present their ideas and views.
 
CLEARWATER — The Clearwater Neighborhoods Coalition will host a candidate forum at the Salvation Army's Joy Center, 1521 Druid Road, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 to meet the candidates. 
 
Five candidates are seeking to win one of two seats in the March 11 city council general election.
 
This forum is an opportunity for the candidates to present themselves to the public and take questions from the audience regarding their position on issues impacting Clearwater residents.
 
Candidates for Seat 4 are David Allbritton, Bill Jonson (incumbent), and Konrad McCree.  Candidates for seat 5 are Hoyt Hamilton and Jon Paul Rosa.
 
The Clearwater Neighborhoods Coalition was formed in 1970 and is composed of neighborhood, civic, and homeowner associations in Clearwater.  The CNC serves to address City of Clearwater, Pinellas County, and State of Florida issues that impact the concerns of the associations represented by the CNC.  The CNC holds monthly meetings, which are open to the public.
