Clearwater seeks volunteers to adopt trails

CLEARWATER — The city is looking for volunteer groups to participate in the Parks and Recreation Department’s Adopt-a-Trail program.

The Ream Wilson Clearwater Trail Adopt-A-Trail program is a partnership between businesses, churches, schools, neighborhood associations, civic groups, clubs and other service-related organizations and the Clearwater Parks and Recreation Department.

Participants will agree to perform cleanups four times each year, to remove litter and debris from their adopted section of trail over a two-year adoption period. Groups also will get credit through signs along the trail. Groups are able to schedule projects when works best for them. The department will provide trash bags, gloves and report forms.

For details, call (727) 562-4803 or email Krystal.Epperson@myclearwater.com.
