Gathering commemorates Marine Corps' 238th birthday

BELLEAIR – On Nov. 10 more than 200 members of the Morris F. Dixon, Jr. Marine Corps League’s, Detachment 54 of Largo and Clearwater and their guests celebrated the 238th birthday of the United States Marine Corps.  In keeping with Marine Corps tradition, cake was shared by the youngest member Lance Corporal Jacqueline Fonseca (second from the left) and oldest member John Residence (far left) Marines in attendance.  Also pictured is the featured speaker, Colonel Mary Augustitus (right) and the Detachment Commandant John Piazza, Sr. The celebration was held at the Belleair County Club.
