Live music this weekend at the Suncoast Jazz Classic

CLEARWATER BEACH – The 23rd annual Suncoast Jazz Classic begins tonight at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort and the Clearwater Beach Marriott Hotels on Sand Key.
 
The four-day festival is dedicated to preserving America's music for future generations while introduces young musicians to traditional jazz and swing.
 
According event organizers, some 4,000 music fans are expected hear the sounds of music played by 15 of the nation’s leading jazz, swing, rhythm and blues, rock, ragtime, and Cajun bands.
 
The festival will also showcase Sonny LaRosa & America’s Youngest Jazz Band, musicians from the age of 6 to 13, from the Tarpon Springs High School Jazz Ensemble at 12 noon Friday at Jake’s Place in the Sheraton hotel.
 
Admission fees range from $10 for youth for the weekend, $100 for adults for the weekend, $40 to $50 per day and up.
