Local Couple Celebrates 60 Years of Wedding Bliss

James and Marilou Baby celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 18th. They were married in 1953 in Toronto, Canada, where they grew up. They moved to Cleveland, Ohio, spending the majority of their time in Lakewood. Jim moved his family to Clearwater in 1974, as he took a transfer with Progressive Insurance. He was also a Dixieland jazz musician, playing the coronet and piano. One of the local bands he played with was the Black Cat Jazz Band. Marilou worked for several years for John Baldwins and Pat Lokey's in downtown Clearwater.  They have 2 children; Mary, a flight attendant for Jet Blue, and Jamey, a teacher and coach at Oak Grove middle school. They have 5 granddaughters, and 2 great grandsons.
