CLEARWATER BEACH — City police are searching for an unidentified individual operating a motorized parachute along the city’s coastline last Saturday.

Citizens notified police that the parachutist appeared to be flying dangerously close to high rise towers, buildings and native nesting bird locations along Clearwater Beach. Police want to talk to the parachutist regarding “public safety” concerns.

If you know this person or have information, call the non-emergency police number (727) 562-4242. Callers can remain anonymous.

Citizens can also submit an anonymous tip via the city’s Tip411 app for Android users. To download the free app, visit www.clearwaterpolice.org. Another method is to text the word CWPD along with your tip to 847411. Anonymous web tips can also be submitted at www.clearwaterpolice.org or at www.facebook.com/ClearwaterPolice.
